This week we are talking about dreams and Steve Harvey’s story is one of those stories that just exemplifies the reason going after your dreams can be scary not just for you but for your friends and family. Your friends and family don’t have your imagination. He explains that your real life isn’t in your current circumstance. Your real life isn’t what you are receiving as pay. Your real life is in your dream, or as Steve says in your imagination. Your real life is in the vision of your future.
He explains that when you tell your vision to others they don’t accept it. Your vision isn’t their vision. Steve goes on to talk about how he told his family and friends that he was quitting his job to be a comedian. Everybody he told shot it down. They said he was crazy and was being foolish and irresponsible. Yet he clung to his dream and followed it with such tenacity that he ended up being in front of 44,000 people helping them laugh. Would he have done that if he had listed to his mom? You know the answer so listen to what Steve says and then make a plan and follow your dream. You will be happier for it.
