Building a Habit of Exercise

Trying to start a habit is a huge challenge. We may go to the gym for a week or two but then we die off. We will try and fail several times.

Today’s speaker talks about how you can ease those fits and starts by working on building a specific habit. His method is different because you are going off of queues in your day to day routine.

His example is to have the queue being opening your door to your house at the end of the day. You walk in drop your bag and change clothes then immediately go outside and start walking.

This is because you will always open your door when you get home after work. So use that as the starting point of your new habit. Have a watch and see what you think.
