Many times we want to be happy all the time and the chasing of that joy and single emotion often causes us more of the emotions we don’t want.
This week we have Joe Rogan as he talks about what he does to be happy in his life. Now I do have some problem with his thoughts as to what makes him unhappy. That’s because he is approaching the problem from the angle of it’s the circumstances that are creating his lack of joy. This is called emotional childhood.
He explains that he doesn’t hang out with negative people. I take it as him saying that the negative people are those who steal his joy. Yet this isn’t the case. The negative people he maybe around are the circumstance. And actually those people being described as negative are his thoughts of those people. Those people don’t have any power over whether he is happy or not.
He does have some great examples of you practicing your power of choice because you can choose to be around certain people or not. So yeah this video still has a lot of value.
