Whether it is how you dress or any other means of improving yourself. People are going to criticize your want to change. They will make sometimes reasonable arguments as to why you need to stay in their comfort zone.
This week we are talking about men’s styles. Why you need to up your game when it comes to dressing up. We often have excuses as to why we look like a slouch instead of looking our best.
The 10 objections you will face when improving your looks can help you in more ways than giving you good arguments against why you need to keep your style small. So let’s look at them.
You are being superficial
There really a problem with working superficial? Sir yes, no. This is a good example of rejecting one’s all emotional insecurities onto another person.
People ask questions like this, to make others feel as if they have over stepped a boundary. They feel uncomfortable because you are showing them the lies they tell themselves.
You are making me look bad
Much like the previous statement you aren’t making them feel bad they feel bad because of the thought that you are out shinning them. Their feeling bad isn’t your fault it’s theirs.
You look uncomfortable
Basically they are saying you should stop trying so hard. There are some nice sweat pants and a comfy couch with your name on it. Stop trying so hard and just accept that you won’t get any where.
Why are you looking for attention?
Well yeah we all want attention. Dressing nice get that attention and that attention can create opportunities to improve your standing.
This is classic tall poppy syndrome in action. People don’t want you to rise to high.
Trying to hard
We all have called someone a try hard before, and often it is because we again wish we were doing what the other person was doing
Yes we are trying harder and that effort will grant us better results
You shouldn’t judge based on appearances
That would be nice if people didn’t. Yet, the world does judge how someone looks. So it is better to be the cream at the top than the cleaner sitting at the bottom of a milk jug.
You will be judged. That’s a fact of life. So put your best foot forward. That way you have better opportunities.
